Capturing us

I don't know about all the other photographers out there, but I have a horrible habit of not showing up on pictures. First, I don't really like the way I look on them and, usually, I am the one taking those photos :) But knowing that and remembering a great advice my pastor's wife gave me: One day, my kids will like to see how I looked like when I was young; I decided that from now on I'll make a point of capturing me and my husband more often. Here is a just a few we took while we were waiting for a client.
And by the way, I think Brandon looks so good!!!

Joy and Jacob

Joy is a senior this year and Jacob just left to college this past weekend. They are not just girlfriend and boyfriend but also best friends and will miss each other terribly. Great reason to a fun hour of posing, laughs and memories captured in photographs. And don't you just adore her hot pink shoes??? I wish we wore the same size ;)

Presley and Dylan

Oh how much fun I had photographing this brother and sister! Presley was a big help making little brother, Dylan, look at the camera. We had a great time with lots of running around and M&Ms (because sometimes, even the best kids need a little incentive:))

The Hernandez Family

Fifty years of marriage! That was why this family wanted me to take pictures of them. I was humbled by this couple. Here am I thinking that my 8 years is a lot and then I meet the Hernandez family. Now I just hope, that one day, I can also celebrate 50 years of marriage and still have fun with my spouse the way these two do.
Congratulations Hernandez family. You guys are an example for me.
